In the Land of Giants is a new series that plays with perspective and narration. Up until recently, still life painting has always been an academic genre for me. But the more I worked on still lifes, a feeling overcame me. I found that most of my still lifes lacked any feeling of life. I began playing around with perspective and arrangement, realizing later on that I wanted to feel as if I was in the composition. The result is this new series. Through everyday and not so everyday objects, I immerse the viewer in stories of a world that’s fantastical and humorous.
